Join Pride on the West Side

Pride on the West Side is being built as a West Toledo resource for LGBTQ+ friendly businesses, services, events, performers, organizations, sponsors, and community supporters. You do not need to be a bar or restaurant to participate. We welcome salons, shops, artists, entertainers, nonprofits, service providers, volunteers, sponsors, and anyone with a meaningful way to support the community.

Pride on the West Side is not meant to replace Toledo Pride. It is a neighborhood-based effort to help more West Toledo people, places, and organizations be visible, connected, and involved.

Pride on the West Side is looking for people, businesses, organizations, and community supporters who want to help build a stronger Pride presence in West Toledo.

You can be involved in a big way or a simple way.

You can be involved in a big way or a simple way. You might host an event, offer a Pride special, provide a service, sponsor part of the project, perform, volunteer, or help connect people.

Who Should Join?

Pride on the West Side is open to welcoming participants across West Toledo and the surrounding area. We are especially interested in hearing from:

Bars, restaurants and coffee shops
Retail shops, salons and fitness studios
Artists, musicians, DJs, drag performers
Karaoke hosts, event hosts, food vendors
Community organizations, local nonprofits
Health and wellness providers, professional service providers
Sponsors, volunteers
LGBTQ+ friendly businesses and allies who want to support Pride

You do not have to be an LGBTQ+ owned business to be involved. You do need to support a welcoming and respectful environment.

Ways Businesses Can Participate

Businesses can participate in several ways.
You can host a Pride event at your location.
You can create a Pride food or drink special.
You can offer a discount, promotion, or featured item during Pride season.
You can sponsor an event or help cover costs.
You can display Pride on the West Side materials.
You can be listed as an LGBTQ+ friendly business.
You can collaborate with another business on an event.
You can offer space for a performer, vendor, speaker, or community group.
You can also reach out with your own idea.

If you want to perform, host, or help create a Pride event in West Toledo, please reach out. We may be able to connect you with a participating location.

Service Providers and Community Resources

Pride is not only about entertainment. It is also about support, visibility, and connection. Service providers and organizations are welcome to participate. This may include health services, counseling services, legal services, wellness services, advocacy groups, community organizations, and local professionals who want to support LGBTQ+ residents and allies. If you offer a helpful service, we would like to know about it.

Sponsors

Sponsors help make Pride on the West Side stronger. Sponsorship may help support event promotion, printed materials, website listings, entertainment, photography, vendor spaces, or community activities.
